In The Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal Lecter, played by Anthony Hopkins, almost never blinks.

We do not see him blink when he speaks, a particularity that Anthony Hopkins borrowed from serial killer Charles Manson by watching videotapes of his appearances. But, contrary to popular belief, he sometimes blinks his eyes during the film, especially in the scene of the first meeting with Jodie Foster in the prison. This pivotal role in his career earned him an Oscar in 1992.
